• Deoxidizer and desulfurizer: Silicon and calcium in silicon calcium alloy have a strong affinity for oxygen, and calcium has a strong affinity for sulfur. The deoxidation and desulfurization products can easily float up and be removed, improving the performance of steel and increasing its plasticity and impact toughness.
• Effective warming agent: Adding silicon calcium alloy powder to the head of the steel ingot as a heating agent can improve the quality of steel and the yield rate.
• Cast iron production: Used as a deoxidizing, desulfurizing and inoculant in cast iron production. Silicon calcium alloy improves the performance of cast iron more effectively than ferrosilicon.
